…from canon rumours…I do wonder if it is true..but I am definitely on a lookout to replace mine
26th A bit more info we just received:
Next week is the launch of a new ’semi-pro’ crop camera.
xD Design aims were:
- Speed of readout from sensor – FPS, potentially fastest FPS in current DSLR market.
- Dual DiGIC Processor and Dual Card
- HD Video
- Flip screen [sic.]
- Low noise, not more MP
- 5D2 style weather sealing (no 1 series type yet)
- Pro level AF – a preview of the new AF technology in next year’s 1D Mk4
- Significantly improved liveview AF
Market segment
- Targeted at sports, bird and wildlife photographers
- Intended to be both taken seriously by sports and wildlife photographers and as ‘Aspirational model’ for semi-pros
- Look for a series of sports and wildlife photographers / testers who have tried it. Expect numerous testimonials for the camera.
- Providing a ’step up’ for current xxD photographers

Saw this at Sembawang yesterday. I am going to be building something similar with chengai wood if cost is not prohibitive.
It is going to be weather resistant and could stand weight, cos I am going to hang orchids on them.
Anyone knows where to get chengai wood, do let me know…

Sorry..for the blurred picture…something interesting that caught our eyes on friday after our weekly antennal class at KKH hospital. Apparently, everyone been pasting their ‘green’, i.e. not running a temperature sign to form this rounded shaped…

Believe it or not, this comes from one of my pro2028 Eheim pro II filter. To be honest, I notice that this unit is making quite some noise of late and it always leaked whenever I turn off power to the unit…anyway, I got itchy fingers on saturday to change the media in my filter and fish out some baby shrimps….and it turn out to be a 6 hours ordeal for me, 2 trips to seaview to get impeller and and on the 2nd trip, the o-ring.
Thankfully, my wife was taking her afternoon siesta, I would imagine I would end up in her frog porridge for dinner. The entire living room was wet and not to mention so super messed up. And boy, I swear if I ever buy a second hand filter again, I will demand that I get a discount equivalent of the o-ring cost before I make the purchase, better safe than sorry. Having a leaky filter is not a funny affair.

This got featured on the papers today. However, I already got wind of it, thanks to some of the tweets that I subscribed to. The blog can be found here…

Well, this Dr Cai really written rather about the Singapore Psyche (Ugly ones and occasionally nice ones) and to a large extent, reflect much about the greed of companies, the other side of singapore, the downtrodden type, the night life in places like Orchard towers, etc. Have a read…
My favourite entry have got to be this:

followed by this

Frankly, I didn’t know till I read this blog that being a taxi driver is a bestowed privilege of being Singaporean. Honestly, I just didn’t know!!! It’s just so uniquely Singapore…
Anyway, Dr Cai’s talent can be put to good use..since life science have much much more to offer. Anyway, that’s a story for another day. The thing is..honestly, it makes me fear for myself when I reach the magical 40s….
As for the official statement from IMCB, will definitely read something along the line..Dr Cai was not contributing, etc…something to that tune, etc..no choice but let him go, etc…

Not a very good idea..and not to mention dangerous!!! This morning, whilst waiting to turn left into Sengkang Central, at the stop line. There was this city cab, SHB9435B that drove past and then sudden brake and started reversing, probably trying to enter our driveaway to pick his passengers or something. It was way too dangerous, he at least reversed a good 10 to 15 m… well, he almost slam right into us.. I would imagine my dear wife and my dear wes wes boy won’t be too happy if he did.
And to make matters worst, he even shown us some hands signs as if he had the right of way. What rubbish! Anyhow, if you ever spot this cab on the street, board at your own risks.
