Today went for my hair cut..at the salon I went some six years ago prior to my sister’s wedding…six years on, they are still charging 25 bucks…anyway, my own wedding is coming in 13 days time..

Still lots to do and work is relentless…well, sure look forward for the honeymoon away from Singapore…

Wahaha…

First thing first…I am not anti marriage. My wedding is next month and getting married with one uber nice lady. Okay, I will leave it at that.

In singapore, getting married as least for most people, means setting up your own family, i.e. buy your own place, etc. That’s getting more and more expensive, my dad paid for a 4-room in 1990 for 110K. I paid for mine in 2008, 2xxk for a smaller 4room. A whooping 100% increase. Over the past 18 years, who can stand forward and say their salary doubled?

Amongst all things that you need to worry about for a wedding. Costs are running very high, banquet goes like almost 1k in most decent hotels and it is set to go up further. And the rising inflation just doesn’t help!

I been thru all these for the past two years, I know what large amount is needed to get married. I seen friends spurging 10k for their wedding photos, to date I still have no clue why? Well, the mantra is simple, though wedding is once a lifetime…a marriage is a lifetime journey!

Anyhow, long story short, there are something in life you cannot engineer, like getting young people to get married by setting up more SDUs, etc. You gotta set up a condusive enivronment where one feel less stress and feel better with oneself, then and only then will people have time to find love and think of setting up a family…Actually, I believe given the current situation in Singapore, more people are not taking the marriage cost when they are having issues making ends meet.

For me, if I cannot ensure my next generation’s well being, why would I even want to bring them onto earth? Anyway, this is no longer a farming society we have here in singapore, where numbers usually makes a difference in the fields.

I can’t remember when it last rained during NDP parade not that I am veteran in attending NDP. Someone said to me, the old man has perhaps lost his magic. I burst out laughing!

Seriously, you have to believe it when some lao jiao aquascaper tells you that E.Tennellus when planted in ADA Amazonia soil means AIDS…And honestly 2 months on, my lawn of E.Tennellus is going so well, that my other plants are being covered by its runners…

And looking at my tank 7 weeks since planting…it is really a sight to behold. I think there’s still room for improvement….

Now, I am running 2 x 2028…The leaking unit have been fixed with a new O Ring..works like magic.

Next up, trying to clear the yellow tint…
