Saturday whilst driving and listening to BBC World Service, they had a commentary about Manchester United Vs Arsenal and of course they did a flash back of all the classic encounters between the devils and the gunners… and seriously who can forget the magic season of 1999?

Spiders, Spiders..@13th April 2008

Went to shoot today. Kel went too with his newly acquired D300 and 180mm Tamron Macro Lens. What a setup. Anyway, my outdated 20D with a 4 yrs old tamron 90mm…got all these pics..I deleted all those blurred and not up to standards one away…running out of HDD space. The D300 is colossal!

Left work today and since I got a camera in the car..so why not punggol? So headed punggol I went..Boy, I was not disappointed and I was rewarded with a relaxing break and not to mention a glorious sunset…lovely.

Phew…I am shagged out! Yesterday, my physiotherapist put me on the tread mill! Goodness, the 1st time ever since eons ago…
Anyway, it was good to be able to run again..although the nagging pain on my left knee. Do or do not..but never say die…
I am on the road to recovery despite the many road blocks, stumbling stones, but I shalt never give myself up…

Nothing New….to me!

I read this article on CNA’s website and felt like it is nothing new.
SINGAPORE: Two Indian nationals will now serve their sentences for making false declarations of their educational qualifications in their Employment Pass (EP) applications.
Why is it that I feel that it is nothing new. That’s because throughout the course of my working life, I encounter such people creatures…
One typical example, was the ‘electrical engineer’ whom only know ohm’s law…. But got hired from the land where curry rules. Beats me how did that happened…
Have you not encounter indians with a string of IT qualifications to their CVs only to discover that they have next to no ideas on certain key IT concepts…how did they have all these qualifications then? Well, what I know is that over in the land of curry, there are plenty of braind dumps to be bought and even companies created to help these folks land jobs thru phone interviews, etc…they even have panel of IT professionals to help them pass ace their phone interview… well, the truth will be glaring once they come to work in Singapore. Need I say more…do look around you and you will find all these supposedly foreign talents, plenty! I am sure if you throw a rock you bound to hit one..provide you know where to throw that is.

Prawning or Fishing for Prawns

Well, to get ourselves out of our present frame..we decided to go prawning or rather fishing for prawns whichever case it maybe. After 1 hour plus, results are dismaying! We caught none and we have at least let 5 or 6 slipped away… Technique, technique they say… and of course timing is important.
Anyhow, we are sure to go back again..the next time hopefully we can land something and have them bbqed at the pit provided. Woo, that would be so yummy!
