This particular song is actually a love ballad, sung in both English and Japanese.
My understanding of Japanese is not there, despite the fact that I have taken japanese lessons in the past…

Lack of practise, I guess and no one to speak Japanese…Bunch of excuses..let us just say I suck at it! Despite not knowing the lyrics, the song delivers and can really sort of like touches my emotion quite abit..

I really like the following few lines..

A wedding Photographer or A photographer at a wedding

Was at Borders last night….prior to attending a friend’s wedding..

Chanced upon one particular line in a book, Think the author is Michael something…Anyhow, he was suggesting that everyone can take pictures at a wedding but however it takes years of training to be a wedding photographer..one whom specialised in doing weddings. This doesn’t really cut/work in Singapore, I am afraid to say..However his point does make me think a little…

So what’s the difference? Between the two?

Well, I think I could tell the difference between a snapshot and a captured moment of a particular wedding. .Well, having been doing freelancing in this realm for a little while…

At the wedding now, spotted the wedding photographer..Not sure whether he is hired or what. My observation is that he is having quite a good time, why? Because he gets to eat…he only got to work during the table to table group photos…Very different from my style. He doesn’t even take candid pics at all..All he did was take group pics, etc…And the champagne pouring, he was standing like from 6 -7 meters out from the thick of the actions..Nikon user, lens looks like a nikon ED lens…What’s the coverage like? probably he wanted to get more ppl into the pic…For myself, I am almost next to the action, most of the time, if I can help it…close up candids are the sort of pics…that I like..nothing is more natural than that…

BTW, there is no such things as a best angle to get a shot…it is about finding the optimal angle….if I were to follow a certain person’s formulation on his best angle, I trust that my shots will turn out like without much character….Granted that I still do not have a style that is truly identifiable as yet…but I am working on it..One fine day, I hope when people look at my work, they can say stuff like “Eh, that’s distinctively Edwin’s Work”. Well, so much for goal settings…*Gotta work hard*

Talking about the couple, honestly up until last month, I didn’t even know that I have to attend this wedding..Called it a red bomb lar…most of us whom attend it, ironically attended because it offers an unique opportunity to meet up/ catch up with one and another, poly buddies as we once were…Surprisingly, the conversation and kena ’suan’ targets are still the same..Pleased to say that everyone still looks same same…honestly, cept for 2 married guys, the rest are still single or attached, myself single of course..maybe the one only on the table of ten that is still single…Admittedly, I do want the next one to be right….but then I am setting my expectation too high? Ponders and Wonders

So, T met his gal over in 1997 and things didn’t start well for the two of them…but as fate would have it, they met again after many years…and then love blossom…Just goes to show, sometimes, fate does play a big part in your life..what is yours will be yours ..then again, do remember this song from Corrinne May, ” I guess I’ll never know if I never try..” Perhaps, this is inspiration for me to work on my current situation…Perhaps, what I truly need is a paradigm shift….

Hey, things are not so bad lar.. “You failed! Only if you quit trying…” Quoting from the daily bread, read this :” Winners never quit and quitters never win.” Food for though, I leave you.

How long does it takes to fry a plate of Kuay Teow Goreng

Lunch with 阿华。。。。和他的表哥。。。。

Went to Chinatown to send some photos to be printed. What happened in the end? That bloody CDR cant be read over at KT Digital. For those who don’t know, KT Digital is the only place I send my stuff to be printed. Top notch quality prints and not to mention superior color service.

Michelle and Lily are super nice people. That LJ, 阿华 even ask me to data Michelle out..Haha…Michelle, funny encounters I had with her..once she had to chase me all the way to Chinatown MRT station to return my prints…I forgotten them as I left the shop that day…Nice gal, even my sis thinks so…Anyhow, I do have a date with her again..that is to return to KT Digital to get my stuff printed this week. LOL..

Bump into Cousin Florence too…

Lunch was at the Arcade Food Court…Bloody crowded! Many many office gals…but none caught my eyes…what’s wrong with me? I wonder….ponders..Over lunch, ermh…din eat my lunch actually as I was super duper TL with the indian store that sells Roti prata n such..Hey, not that the food there is super tasty or what..but it got the shortest queue…Ordered my kuay teow goreng….fark..it never came…waited like 20 minutes…went over n ask where’s my kuay teow goreng..

Store Personnel:”Orh, they still frying….”
Ed:”Ermh, Though you said the same thing, 10 minutes ago…”
Store Personnel:”Can you wait or not”
Ed:”Ermh, forget it lar..give me back my cash..I got to go back to office.”

Damm Damm…How long does it take to fry Kuay Teow?

Met Dr Peter Chu also…Blxxdy hell, keep calling gay guy…but I guess it was for fun..I don’t hold a grudge against this nice doctor whom always acted as my second opinion whenever I need some medical advise…So well, that was that…

Getting Lost in NUH…almost

A visit to the National University Hospital Over Lunch

Had to visit a friend whom met an accident. To cut a long story short, really, is that I got lost in NUH. The twists and turns really really almost made lose my way in search my friend who is warded in ward x. After searching for ward x, I was told he got transferred to ward y…Which is at Kent Ridge 2…And start my walk I did…Follow the green footprints I was told…and followed the green footprints I did…

After many twisting n turning around the mazes of NUH level one..I managed to come to a lift…but there isn’t a seventh level…Luckily there was this guy in the lift that pointed to the right direction…nevermind if he looked more ah beng than me…Some ah bengs are better than the best dressed snobs I seen. “Take this lift to third level and walk to the north entrance and then take lift to seventh floor..” He said in his halting ang mo….who cares as long as he helpful, right or not..

On a side note, this may be a good way to get to know NUH nurses…sounds lame right? I guess so lar…

Anyhow, managed to get to see my friend….Terrible sight it was..Sometimes, life is that cruel..All I am wishing for is that he get well real soon.

And that was lunch….Ermh..I meant I decided not to take lunch today….
