Angel in Disguise- A Song that played while I am driving today. .Very solid Lyrics.

ANGEL IN DISGUISE

I woke up this morning feeling kinda blue
And I stumbled out of bed and
Dragged my feet across the room
Right outside my front door was a rose
And a note that said ‘Somebody Loves You’

But out on the street it starts to pour
And before I get soaking wet
A total stranger runs to give me
The jacket off his back
I turn around to thank him
But he waves me with a smile

I can hardly believe my eyes
He puts on a halo and starts to fly

Take a look at the ordinary
Don’t need to look for Paradise
You could be next to an angel in disguise

I met a good friend for lunch
And we had a delicious meal
But I forgot to bring my wallet
I felt like an imbecile
But she was sweet, she gave me a treat and
Bought me a chicken sandwich
To take home for tea

But out on the street with nothing to eat
A man and his shopping cart go
Travelling to places
Collecting social graces
I gave him my sandwich
And we chatted for a while

I see a rainbow wash over his eyes
He gives me his halo and I start to fly

Don’t try to hide away from me
I know you’re by my side…

Everyday can be legendary
Every minute, an endless surprise
You could be the next angel in disguise.

- Corrinne May

My favourite lines:

Take a look at the ordinary
Don’t need to look for Paradise
You could be next to an angel in disguise

Constipated Smilez

Posted by diligo on May 12, 2005

An email correspondence with a lady of 17 back then. Amanda Lim, the lady who dare to say I got a constipated smile. Do I? Anyhow, here is the email message…reading it now since 1998, seems very nostaglic.
What can I say? Hahaha.. Wait till I dig out that xmas card she gave me years ago. I do wonder how that bob cat looks like right now….Life is a recollection of funny memories..

So readers, do you think I got a constipated smile? haha

Message from Amanda

Hi there!!!
I HAVE SURVIVED THE FIRST WEEK OF COLLEDGE LIFE!

Wow how time really, I mean seriously flies past. A week is nearly over in the new millennium. Darn it! That means we’re getting older…
Hmmm…About dancing, I had to learn a another dance on Wed. It was a mass dance or so the Counsellors said so. It was worst than the first dance. No partner this time but it wasn’t as easy to dance. I think I looked ultra miserable durin the dance. You would be trying real hard not to laugh if you were present.Too bad some pple haven’t got the luck to withness me being so hopeless. I get into the my choice of course which is Econs, C Maths, English Literature, GP & (unfortunatley) Chinese @ ‘A’ level. by the way I’m in the Arts faculty where ALL the creative pple like moi go to & brew some fun stuff up. (Peels of evil cackles…) I’ve got a classmate who has the same subject combination as me. Her name is …(a loud rumble of drum rolls)AMANDA!

Serious, my classmate is Amanda. Well it has been a while since I had a classmate with the same name. I think she’s pretty nutty as well. So I guess the class of 1A05 (my class) has got itself a handful of mad Amandas.

Oh yes, I honestly don’t think lowly of you. It’s juz me pulling your legs both of them as hard as my strength permits. Plus you don’t look distorted when you try not to smile. It is juz that you look TERRIBLY AWFUL! More than word can say…Hideous, Monsterous, *Scream*

The fact why I noticed you when you got on the bus that very day I first saw you was that you blocked the passage way of the bus by not moving in further up the aisle. I felt that you were quite inconsiderate. No lah…well I noticed you becoz I had nothing better lese to look at you see. Apart from the other guy on board that always sleeps in the bus & wears a pair of Ocean Pacific sunglasses who also sometimes sleeps with his mouth open, there is nothing else to think of to excercise my brain. What I mean I can’t you know imagine stuff in my head to amuse myself in the morninig to brigten up my day…

Actually you don’t look to bad( Choking with great disgust due to the side effects of telling truths), I hope I’m not blind or tha I have bad aste in determining whether who looks gd/not. Too bad none of my friends will ever see you to confirm the verdict on your looks. Well I’m defintely sure you won’t mind my comment on your looks. you are surely smiling becoz I praised you. Right?! Okay…That’s good you know. I mean, to smile as you use less muscles to smile then frown.
Ya…You learn something new every day don’t you? That’s the advantage of knowing moi, the one & only, the greatest of the beat, the fairest of the fair….I could go on & on praiseing myself but I guess it would be redundant especially since you know it is true. Give me a A, Give me a M, Give me a A, give me a N, give me a D, Give me another A! What do you get, Amanda!!! The best in the world!

For your info., you never fail to brigthen my day. In fact any guy who gives me a smile (if there are any who would be willing to), would make my day go my way.
Anyway, you owe me consultation fees already…After all you ended up smiling on X’mas eve didn’t you? (Smiles & more Smiles)

Luv,
Amanda

VOA News – Waking Up After 10 Years in a Coma

Interesting Article I found on google news today. There’s hope yet…Miracles are everywhere…

VOA News – Waking Up After 10 Years in a Coma: “Waking Up After 10 Years in a Coma
By Victoria Cavaliere
Washington, D.C.

Donald Herbert
Nearly a decade after being left virtually speechless, a firefighter in Buffalo, New York, has suddenly started talking. Doctors are stunned, and trying to fully understand how the change came about.
Firefighter Donald Herbert rushed into a blazing apartment in Buffalo, New York, in 1995. The roof caved-in, crushing him and depriving him of oxygen for about six minutes. He was left virtually blind, unable to speak, and without memory, even of his loved ones.
Doctors expressed little optimism he would ever recover. New York University neurologist Dr. Orrin Devinski says people who recover from brain damage usually do so quickly.
‘With the lack of improvement for a decade, the prognosis is terrible. It is essentially one in a million,’ says Dr. Devinski.
But Mr. Herbert defied the odds.
After nearly 10 years in a coma, he has suddenly started speaking again. Last week, he lucidly told staff at his nursing home that he wanted to talk to his wife.
What followed was 14 hours of emotional conversation with his family, including his son Nicolas, who was just three when his father was injured.
Experts are struggling to understand what happened.
The physician overseeing his care, Dr. Jamil Ahmed, says he had recently changed the combination of drugs Mr. Herbert takes. ‘I put him on medication that would not interact, and combined together I thought may make a difference,’ says Dr. Ahmed.
